Peek-a-boo seals

Time to use all those colored seals from the other day. Had this card in mind for a while and wanted to try it out. I made two and just used different patterned paper and a bit different mountain layout. All things Lawn Fawn except for the circle die which comes from My Favorite Things.

Heat embossing and watercoloring Wplus9 Ranunculus stamp set

I saw Dawn from Wplus9 watercolor this particular stamp set about a year ago and just HAD to have it. Last time I ordered from SSS it was available again and I finally got it. I immediately wanted to watercolor it with distress inks just as I had seen her do. With the video on repeat to pick up all the good tips, I tried out two panels. I was quite pleased with this first result. I loved coloring like that. Need to try it again (...and again... and again *smile*)
The image is stamped twice at different angles and then I heat embossed it. I used a ton of Distress Ink colors. The card is finished off with a stacked sentiment from Lawn Fawn. The bottom layer is done in black and placed a little off so that you get a drop shadow. I also added some sequins and clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

Second version with slightly different color variation on the flowers.

Seal popup surprise card

I saw a video a year ago with the talented Nina-Marie Trapani and I was totally intrigued and had to try it out. I liked it so much so I had to do it again this year. I used the little Lawn Fawn seals on the front. The inside is done with distress inks and a 13Arts stencil.

Go check out the video for how to make them. Remember to crease the folds REALLY well. To get the first measurements correct I score the first lines in my paper trimmer. That helps the fold to be truly symmetrical. I use my bone folder for all the folds.

Trifold birthday card with flying elephants

I saw such a cute video with Nicole Sphor the other day with the new release from Mama Elephant with flying elephants on or with balloons. I don't have that stampset so I thought I would recreate it with what I have at hand. I dug out the Adorable elephants set from My Favorite Things and also a cute set from WPlus9 and went to town.

I used Bristol Smooth paper and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink since I would be watercoloring this panel.

Showers of love

When Pinterest surfing you can find the most adorable designs. This one I wanted to try out and dug out my Lawn Fawn stamp setand stamped the umbrella. I used both Lawn Fawn and Hero arts ink. The hearts are from different Lawn Fawn sets. I used two ink colors and 2nd generation stamping to get the variation in color of the hearts.

I finished it off by adding polka dots with Nuvo Crystal drops on the umbrellas.

Remember those birthdays, bullet journal spread

I'm taking part in the Instagram #mailitmonday challenge and in order to get a bit more organized, I set up a bullet journal spread to remember all those birthdays and actually get those cards sent out. I used two Daniel Smith watercolor dot charts and picked rainbow colors for my wheel and boxes. Now it's just to fill it out.

Super duper tiny hero boy with kitty

Background is done with distress ink in Picked raspberry, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch and I also sprayed it liberally with shimmer spray, unfortunately that doesn't show up that well in the photos. The images are colored with Zig clean color real brush markers. The characters are then popped up with foam tape.

Critters on and in hot air balloons

Got this stamp set from My Favorite Things ages ago but never got around to playing with it. With a little Instagram challenge called #workyourstashwednesday I finally broke it out and did this card. I have a collegue who's leaving the company for new adventures and wanted to give her a card. This was perfect.

Watercolored kitty birthday card with 4 panels

I wanted to try my hand on watercoloring in 4 sections on one panel. One of my friends have a birthday coming up and she loves kitties so I decided to try this with these cute kitties from My Favorite Things. I started off by stamping the kitties on Canson Watercolor paper. Then I water colored the 4 background boxes with green. I chose to color with Distress Ink. I wanted the boxes to be very free flowing. After that was dry I colored the kitties with oranges and greys. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn stamp set Meow you doin' and is heat embossed.

Playtime with Distress Oxide inks

Serious playtime with Distress Oxide Inks. Layed the color in several layers which I dried in between. Got some really cool effects.

Cute critters for upcoming welcome baby cards

I will be in need of some "welcome baby" cards during the beginning of the year, both friends and collegues are expecting babies so I thought I'd color up these cuties. Have not decided on card design yet though...
